My best guess is Hancock Fabric in the same shopping center as Target on
University Drive.
What distinguishes speaker grill cloth from regular cloth?

It typically has an open weave and the threads are smooth to help prevent as
much high-frequency damping as possible. Also, it's usually a bit
"stretchy" to aid in mounting it on the speaker grilles and remain taught.
I could probably find something suitable at a place like Hancock Fabric (and
plan to look there), but was hoping to find "genuine" grille cloth for sale
somewhere if possible. I can buy it online but in much larger quantities
than I need.
Thanks,
Barry
Google speaker grille cloth.
Yeah, I can do that easily enough. It's avaliable on eBay among several
other places. They typically sell a larger size than I'd hoped to find.
That's why I was hoping for a local place that would sell it by the foot or
maybe even some small scraps. I don't need very much.
Thanks,
Barry
Try Theatrical Lighting Systems, on Jordan north of University. If they
don't have it, they should know who will.

I think they use it for shoulder wraps in Los Angeles, so Hammers should have it.
I don't think they sell it anymore.
I suppose I'll go ahead and order some online. It's not all that expensive.
Thanks for all the responses,
Barry
Speaker Grill Cloth is too technical for Radio Shack these days.
Neither cellphones nor batteries use grill cloth...
