Dagestan: Resident of Makhachkala Abducted

On April 3, 2012, Tazhedin Radzhabov, a resident of Makhachkala, Dagestan, addressed to the Human Rights Center «Memorial» with a written statement. He informed that his nephew, Alakhverdi Ramazanovich Radzhabov, 28 years-old, was abducted.
On March 25 between 5pm and 5.50pm, in Makhachkala, Alakhverd drove up to Shamil av., 57 (Kalinin av.) where an acquaintance was waiting for him. He got out the car to meet the girl and she sat down inside. After that more than ten unknown people wearing masks and camouflage went for Radzhabov and pinioned his arms before in full view of passersby. The girl was taken out of the car  threatening her with weapon. They put Radzhabov in the car and took him away in an unknown direction. Eyewitnesses mentionned that the car in which he was taken away was escorted by three other cars, among them a "Gazelle" with some lattices inside the cabin.
On the same day, relatives applied to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation in Dagestan, to FSB in Dagestan and to the Public Prosecutor's Office, but nobody gave information about the Alakhverdi's whereabouts. According to Tazhedin, Alakhverdi worked as an accountant in a construction company and never had problems with law.
His relatives consider that law enforcement agents could have abducted Radzhabov. They fear for his life and health.
At present time, Radzhabov's whereabouts are still unknown, and the criminal case was initiated.
