Hello,
Thank you very much for making this it is great to have an open source
effort making this hobby live! I have tried the Ipod app, but I am a
little put off by the Westernized pieces, and I would like to chose
the usual Chinese pieces, which are available on the website applet
(playxiangqi.com) but I cannot find in the Ipod app how to chose
Chinese pieces? Is there such a setting, and where?
As a less important side-comment, I find the backwards/forwards arrows
at the bottom of the game screen really troubling, because every time
I try to hit a piece on my bottom row, I end up hitting one of those
arrows, which apparently do something like ask to undo the last
move??? Maybe it would be a good idea to move the board up a little
bit so there is margin for error , reducing the number of unwanted
hits on those arrows.. But to me that's a minor putoff in comparison
with the Westernized pieces..
Those aside, kudos again and thanks a lot for making this app! Well
done:)
Regards,
LN
I want to answer myself on the first point: I found it in Settings,
before chosing Online mode, that the ability to use Chinese pieces is
indeed built in to the Ipod app. Super!

You are correct about the replay-panel at the bottom on the screen. I
will take that into consideration in the future releases of HOXChess.
Glad that you enjoy the app.
