# Positions

* In this role, the Senior Analyst, eCommerce will participate in the
development, enhancement, maintenance, and testing of business applications
and web solutions for the business. The person in this position will
partner with field sales, marketing, , IT colleagues, and other stake
holders to define detailed requirements, assess available technologies,
design, and develop solutions to meet the business needs. The candidate
will have the opportunity to work with and interface to a diverse set of
technologies including ATG web services, SAP, object oriented J2EE
applications, Google App Engine, and mobile devices (iOS, Android). Lastly,
the Sr. Analyst, eCommerce is expected to be part of project teams, as
needed, and lead aspects of the project, as appropriate.*

*Responsibilities*

ü  Work with different business groups (Field Sales, Marketing, Supply
chain and other IT groups) to design, develop and implement technical
solutions within a project team environment.

ü  Troubleshoot application and/or data issues to satisfy business
requirements.

ü  Perform hands on technical tasks configuring the applications and
working with software vendors to deliver results.

ü  Publish work plans and statuses of open activities with timelines.

ü  Learn new processes, technologies and systems as required.

ü  Identify technology solutions to address business issues utilizing both
existing Scotts technologies as well as new technologies.

ü  Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
Create and update required documentation about applications.

ü  Develop and adhere to detailed processes for all operational work.

ü  Foster and maintain good relationships with customers to ensure design
requirements are integrated to support expected customer service level

ü  Expected to function with minimal supervision.

ü  5+ years web site development preferably with experience implementing
ATG or other eCommerce packages.

ü  Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Access, etc.).

ü  Experience with structured design, development and implementation of new
computing architecture.

ü  Experience desired in leading part of a project which includes success
in managing deliverables and deadlines to implement new system solutions.

ü  Knowledge:

ü  Knowledge of project management practices and techniques.

ü  Hands on knowledge of configuration of ATG product and programming using
J2EE.

*Skills & Abilities: *

ü  Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in a
client server/and-tiered / web environment

ü  Technical knowledge, with hands-on experience of configuration or
development of web applications. (ATG, Google App Engine, etc)

ü  Technical knowledge of interface design and development to and from
external backoffice systems (SAP, Oracle, etc)

ü  Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

ü  Aptitude to understand the impact of different types of technology on
the business.

ü  Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to
express complex technical concepts to stakeholders in simple term

ü  Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.

ü  Good project management skills, operating as part of a team, organizing,
planning, and executing small to medium-scale projects from vision through
implementation.      Knowledge of project management techniques and project
life cycle methodologies is required.

ü  Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work on cross-functional project
teams and foster team commitment to tasks.

ü  Knowledge of mobile web development (iOS, Android) is desirable, but not
necessary.**
