Wasn't there a recent thread about this? Where the coupons are a
mail-to offer after you enter your name etc. into their mailing list
database?

OK I tried it again. A cute but overly graphic page. No
mention of cupons. I tried the special offers reference & got
dumped into my e-mail. Sent in my address maybe unlike last
time there may be cupons in the reply.

Well fancy that there is a cupon. The fact that it expires in
a half hour pretty much limits the utility though.

They have a bunch of work to do.

Thanks for the information about a restaurant I had lost.

It is as good as ever. Especially the Burmese Potato & meat
appetizers.

Prices are about the same as elsewhere in town. 90% of the
entree's are between $7 and $8.

One important feature not mentioned is the Burmese part of the
menu. In addition to the aforementioned appetizers there are
11 noodle or curry Burmese dishes available.

The address is 6855 SW Frwy. Inbound between Bellaire &
Hillcroft in the Roadrunner Motel building.

You are right Frank! I'd forgotten about the Burmese stuff.
Tried some recently. A soup made with noodles, chicken, eggs,
and rice. A very thick sauce went with it as the "soup" part.
Quite good. A friend of mine tried the bar-b-que chicken.

Listen folks - this is a real treat (the bbq chicken). It is
a whole chicken bbq'd. Now, before you rush over there and
order this mouth watering delight - remember this: IT TAKES
A LOOOOONG TIME for them to cook it. This is because they
actually start a fire and bar-b-que the chicken for you. So
you might want to call it in ahead of time. We timed it and
it took about an hour to get the meal. But when it comes out,
you are looking at a lot of chicken to eat.

Also, they have house specialty rices made with various spices,
veges, and stuff. Lastly, they have plates they just call
"House Special" which come with various types of meat. They
are very good also.

I've tried almost every one of the meals and can tell you that
they are all very good. A bit expensive (like I've said),
but very tasty and worth the extra bucks.

Story time!

I was there the other day and someone walked in, ordered food,
dropped their cigarette on the tablecloth, burned a very large
hole in the thing, and tried to leave without paying his bill.
Since everyone except myself and a friend were outside of the
kitchen, we had to yell at the owner's to come out and stop
the guy. Unfortunately, he just tossed down a ten and left
before I could show John the hole in his tablecloth.

Now, some of you might think this is something I (or anyone
else) shouldn't do, but I like the place and people and I care
what happens to them and the restaurant. After all, the
tablecloth was only $5.00 but the meal was $7.00. So John's
still out $2.00. People do that enough and the place would
have to close. Something to think about ya know. :-/
