Assuming that you need RS485 on the camera side, it might be easier to buy a RS485 card for the PC.
These converters were common about 10 years ago (but not cheap) and they're getting harder to find locally.
Also, about 10 years ago I used to deal with Centurion Micro Electronics for this type of stuff (and embedded industrial PC's) http://www.cme.co.za/
