Is it possible to integrate Google Groups with Google Apps? If we setup Google Apps for a our own domain, I want to provide a Forum (similar to Google Groups) as an option within Google Apps so that thyey don't have to go to other site to host the discussions.

I am interested in this topic, too. I would like to create several groups for my Apps site and have them nicely integrated (both in terms of layout/display and in terms of user access).
As well as filling out the suggestions questionare, I will post in this thread (again...not the first thread of its type) in support of Groups integration with Apps.

Why there is no reply to this type of threads from Google people? I would really like to learn whether they plan to add this feature soon. Otherwise we will need to give up Google Apps because Email Lists are very poorly implemented.

I dunno. Have you paid them any money? I have not, so I don't really expect much in the way of google support for a free beta product.
So far, it's just been about 4 folks who have chimed in on this issue, which says to me that there probably isn't a whole lot of desire for it. Which probably also says to google that there isn't a whole lot of desire for it.
Really, google apps is just spinning up, and it looks like they really can't support good group integration anyway. I have not even found a way to set up varying levels of administrative access. Group support would need all of that integrated, too. My guess is that it won't happen until an important customer (read: someone paying google actual real live money) expresses a deal-breaking desire to have groups integrated. Until then, it's probably not worth whining about.

I had a chat with the Google Rep of Commercial (paid) version of Google Apps yesterday. He said they are going to release a "Premier" edition of Google Apps by end of 2007 that wil have Google Groups integrated.
