I can understand why one would say "don't shoot at me for mentioning
being educated" (quote...unquote). I've met many educated folks (lost
and saved) who believe some one to be a moron if that person has not
got some university degree. And I've met other folks who are just the
opposite.

I have several commentaries to recommend to those who would be
interested and have the finances. One of the simplest is a book
called Messianic Christology by Arnold Fruchtenbaum ($25?). He is
highly educated (PhD) but is very practical. Before some "shoot" at
me about education. Please consider that your copy of the Word of God

For those interested, there is a very good Bible study program called
e-sword ([link]) that is available free to anyone who will download
it. Gill's commentary is also available under the Commentaries tab. It's a
large download, but it's a way to have the entire resource, free of charge,

Yes there is only one ultimate commentary on God's Word - THE BIBLE!
To learn more read and study \more to show yourself that you are an
approved workman of The Word, prayerfully seek to pick The Mind of God
(His Knowledge and Understanding of The Scriputures), determine
yourself that you should be an heir and practioner of His Faith inside

May I suggest asking for someone who is under the Spirit of God? It
is God's Will to reveal, not the PhD.

'All the Messianic Prophecies of the Bible' by Herbert Lockyer.
