Photo requests for Commons

Hi Tony and Nick,

I noticed here that you have additional photos that you may be able to upload:

I'm working on this page:

The best image for it would be a close up of actual medals, but they're likely copyrighted by some organization who won't release them.

More realistically, I'd like to see any that you have from Sydney 2000 Paralympics.  In particular if there are any of these athletes wearing/being presented with medals: Beatrice Hess of France, Mayumi Narita of Japan, Siobhan Paton of Australia, Stéphanie Dixon who at the time represented Canada, Hong Yan Zhu of China, Tim Sullivan of Australia, or Tanni Grey-Thompson of Great Britain.  (If not, then any athlete wearing/being presented with a medal.)

Also, if anyone has any more of Angie Ballard, that would be great for her article.

So sorry to take so long to reply to you.

 

We are looking to upload more photos in the next few days, but not any of them will be of Sydney.

 

On Monday, I will have a look for the images that you have requested. Regarding medals, it is my understanding that the IPC owns the copyright on images of the Games medals, so the use of images can only show the medals as part of a larger image, rather than the medals by themselves. However, I will also check on that for you next week.
