Hi Jerad,
I'm cc-ing Jerry Isdale on this email. Jerry is the founder of Maui
Makers hackerspace. Jerry is another person who makes cool things
happen!
Jerry -- Jerad is starting a hackerspace in San Diego, and it would
be really cool if you could show him Maui Makers while he's there.
Jared -- FYI, I'll be mostly in town till I leave for Europe for
about a month starting mid-October (to give a talk at TEDxBrussels,
and give a bunch of workshops at hacker conferences and
hackerspaces). Then I'm in town for about a month before going to
Europe again in mid-December (to go to 29C3, the annual huge Chaos
Congress in Germany, and give workshops at hackerspaces). So, come
to SF when I'm here. It'll be great to show you around Noisebridge
and SF.
Cheers,
Mitch.

Hey Mitch,
The afternoon with Jordan at the Pumping Station was more
fruitful than I had imagined. Listening to his stories and
insights has no doubt saved us much time and will allow us to
better focus our energies on the more important matters.
Best of all, seeing such a thriving community was very
inspiring. Jordan was also very perceptive of the uniqueness of
our situations including our direction and origin as a
hackerspace.
I am currently working on a start-up with one of the
hackerspace's cofounders in Hawaii. I looked up two spaces, one
of which is on our island of Oahu, while browsing
hackerspaces.org.
Would you by chance have any contacts of interest in Hawaii
while we are here?
We both return to San Diego on the 17th of September when,
after a presentation at UCSD's CalIT2, Matias and I begin an
exciting endeavor utilizing the Hackerspace's resources to
construct a pitching robot for the San Diego Science and
Engineering association for K-12 involvement.
Also, still working on finding a new date for San Francisco
and NoiseBridge - After visiting PS:1 I am eager to visit as
many spaces as I can. Its so great to see people coming together
to pursue such great things out of passion and intrigue.
