Yeah, the idea of building a CPanel alternative is compelling; but I'm going to wait for Neon to mature a bit more.
The project is daunting enough with an ambitious roadmap. It sets off my coder spidey-sense a bit because it's crafted upon their homebrew PHP framework, versus using a more common framework that other PHP coders (potential collaborators/contributors) would already know.
For now, I'm cheering it on because it's a possible alternative to CPanel, and because it's a local (Hawaii based) effort.
