This is Suann (Shu's wife). I wanted to give a little crafting workshop on quilling (paper filigree). I figure I'd give a very brief overview of the art, show some slides of examples, and then do a how-to for the rest of the session so people can do their own work. I know HIcap hasn't really done many design/art/craft type events, so hopefully this will interest some folks that may not normally attend.

Thanks for the input! Would Thursday, July 26th, 6pm be open for the quilling workshop? That gives people enough time to pick up supplies if they so choose, and I can throw together a quick e-poster to help spread the word.

Yeah, it looks like July 26th is free on both the HI Capacity calendar
along with TechHui. If we want to have it in the Box Jelly area we'd
still have to check with them but I think it'll probably be small
enough that we could have it in the actual HI Capacity area. The only
problem with the 26th is that I'll be off island :( But the week after
we have the powershell talk on Tuesday and the Accelerate Hawaii
mini-conference on Thursday (although that ends at 5pm in Waikiki).

It sucks that you won't be there, Jason! I'm hoping this encourages more crafting/designing/art workshops, however, so here's looking to the future. I'll put together a little blurb/graphic for the announcement. What are the specifics on the new entrance and parking?

The new entrance is the double doors to the left. Then the first door to the right.
I'm still arranging pickup of a couple of desks and 10 office chairs for the space. If you keep it small then it should be enough. We also have the big table in the center. The projector will be available as well..
Parking is still the same; street or across Ward at Sports Authority.
