Hello Everyone,
Hope you all had a very nice Mother's Day.
I am writing because I need to give Carol an answer about the guild having a booth at the Midwest Fiber and Folk Art Fair.  To do that we need enough volunteers to staff our booth for two shifts on Friday- June 21, Saturday-June 22, and Sunday- June 23.  Right now I have one person for each of the Friday and Saturday Shifts.  We really should have two people for each of those shifts, as Friday and Saturday are very busy days at the Fair.  The Shifts would be from 10am-2pm and 2pm-6pm on Friday and Saturday.  Sunday is a shorter and quieter day. We could do with one person per shift, although it is really much nicer to have a second person there.  The Sunday shifts would run from 10am-1pm and 1-pm to 4pm.  We would be giving free drop spindle spinning lessons again.
If there are any other members who would be able to volunteer for a shift, please let me know.  I will be letting Carol know on Friday if we have enough people or not.
The second reason I wanted to write is pertaining to our June 8th guild meeting.  Carol Rhoades will be our guest.  She will be presenting a three hour long workshop on Spinning to Match Mill Spun Yarn.  We should give Carol a close count on how many to expect. We also need to plan on where to set the meeting up, so that we have enough room for all who attend and their wheels.  For those who do not know Carol, she is a nationally and internationally know instructor, has been a frequent contributor to Spin Off Magazine, has taught at SOAR and Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival on numerous occasions.  Carol's classes are wonderful hand-on learning experiences.  This is one guild meeting not to miss.  You will also want to plan on bringing your brown bag lunch, since she will teach from 10:30-12 and 1-2:30pm.  We will have a lunch break between sessions.
If you think you will be able to attend, please e-mail me a note to let me know.  I will keep a tally and let Carol know.
Thanks, Sharon  (LKre...@mc.net)
