You all know how much I love Hoekey!!

In the interest of making Hoekey even better, could someone try and
reproduce this?

I wanted to try out the command: ~Y=Editify
So I added the following line to my config file:

~Y=Editify '"Editify?"

It's kind of hard to read, but because I'm a VB programmer, I
instinctively used an apostrophe character before the text
"Editify" (which I put in quotes), instead of the semincolon (;)
character Hoekey requires.

Hoekey crashed when I closed the config file, saving the changes.

When I was using Hoekey in a previous Windows install environment, I
had some issues with version 1.16 crashing, so I reverted back to
version 1.13. Now that I've reinstalled, I thought I would try 1.16
again, but it still seems to have some of these issues...

Thanks!!

That's because it considers the spaces and the ' to be a part of the
command 'Editify' which then throws off the program.

Notice how HoeKey will prompt you if your config file is not 100%
correct, as in you missed a file path name or something similar?
Well, I think that it verifies each line and with the spaces and ' you
have what amounts to an invalid line in the config, thus causing
HoeKey's crashing.

As to using 1.13 versus 1.16, I cannot see why - I lvoe 1.16 in Vista
32bit and 64bit....

I just wish that Hoekey would alert me to errors in the config file in
some other way besides crashing... But I love Hoekey, and don't want
to be a whiner.
