A quick reminder to all...

Team Alumni applications are due this Friday and are available at our website, http://www.hobymd.org/ .  Applications will not be accpected after Friday. Don't let the $180 fee for room and board stop you from applying. Please contact Dani if there is any concern.  Again, get your applications in this week, applications recieved about the 18th will not be read (applications that are postmarked Jan 18 will be accpected).

As for facilitator applications...
 

This year's seminar is Friday, May 23-Sunday, May 25 at Mt. St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg. We ask for our team to assemble at the campus on the night of Thursday, May 22 for seminar preparation and final team instructions, which begins with a dinner and meeting at 7pm. Please note that this is Memorial Day weekend.

Attached is the application and background check form, the HOBY code of conduct and a cover letter about the program. The appl and background form and code of conduct are required for participation. We kindly ask for your commitment by Saturday, January 26, 2008 so we know if we need to do any additional recruitment for the seminar. Feel free to email Anna at tvc...@excite.com.  As we have 190 ambassadors as our goal for 2008, we anticipate the need for 19 facilitators and at least 10 junior facilitators.

For your planning purposes:

Please mark your calendar now for a required pre-seminar training meeting set for Sunday, May 4th, 2008 from 1-5pm in Baltimore at HOBY Dad Greg VanSuetendael's business, Bacchus Importers. (Directions sent closer to the date.)

Additionally, we have seminar planning meetings coming up on:

Sunday, January 27th 2-4pm (Feel free to bring your appl with you!) at HOBY Momma Carol Applegate's house (4001 Chesley Avenue, Baltimore)

Sunday, March 30th 2-4pm - Location to be determined

Your participation in the planning meetings is not required, but is encouraged. The May 4 th meeting is required. Please let me know if you have any questions. And if you know of anyone who would be a great addition to our HOBY family, feel free to forward this email! We always love new volunteers! Previous HOBY experience is not required. Just a commitment to today's youth. Thank you for your interest and dedication!
