drop GHC 6.12 support ?

There have been three major GHC releases since 6.12.3, and I think it's time to require 7.0 or greater. At least for hledger-web, whose 6.12-compatible code generates a lot of warnings, and whose dependencies I think are now unlikely to support 6.12 (I haven't tried this - if you find that hledger-web in darcs still builds with 6.12.3, that would be good to know.) Shout if you see major problems/better solutions.

as long as it's a no-brainer for a debian box to get such a thing, then hell yeah, GHC6.x is dead! Long live GHC7!! yay..  what;s ghc again? ;-)
