Shaolin's venerable abbot ....
Is a holder of multiple advanced degrees - a PhD and an MBA.
Naturally, the gentleman must watch out for the interests of
his enterprise in whatever ways he can.
Long before it was 嚙瘡嚙踝蕭嚙赭產, Shaolin Abby was in shambles.
It was nearly destroyed during the Great Cultural Revolution
when it was condemned as backward, and perpetrator of super-
stitions. Nobody deemed it "嚙瘡嚙踝蕭嚙赭產" then.
Ownership, therefore, appears overrated. Whatever pushed for
the Shaolin IPO is not that important. Someone, at least, is
stepping up to the plate. A holding company dedicated to the
management of the Shaolin brand is not a bad idea in itself.
Only two things matter:
Its board, and the usage of revenues ....

Like all major religions ....
Buddhism doesn't repudiate duality. Rather it seeks unity of
of the opposites - transcendence. In that light, watching a
soccer game is an example par excellence. Through satisfying
that innate human desire for win and lose one is transcended
- elation or dejection.
But foremost, he/she is at one with the teams ....

Tantrra, as a sect ....
Practices invoking the divine power of the universe, for the
attainment of personal, but purposeful, goals, be they mater
-ial, spiritual, or both. The concrete rituals, vary quite a
bit but the common thread is the mystical experience. Which,
is imperative. Quite often it necessitates the guidance of a
guru.
Ritualistically, it a bit like Qigong, or Japan's Shintoism.
In that light, it deviates quite a bit from the liturgically
elaborate vedic tradition that permeates India's Hindus vall
-ey. The Hindu religious tradition, that is grounded on four
canonical texts of ancient Sanskrit.
A manifestation of the unity of the opposites is eternity -
a common quest for all world religions. It's the point that
is beyond time and where duality ceases to exist. It can be
experienced, but is beyond words. China's Laozi masterfully
and succinctly sums it up through superb invocation of rhet-
orical paradox:
The dao that can be dao'ed is not the eternal dao ....
