I have a Kinect sensor so I am up for any 3D scanning projects. There was someone (I can't remember her name) who did some cool things with a Kinect and Processing at the Hive76 Open House 2 Saturdays ago.

There is an API out on the Internet somewhere...

The kinect sdk as of march contains 3d scanning capabilities and i believe sample source code.

I would be down for 3D scanning, i can't wait for this semester to be over.

If you are using multiple kinect there is a way to put little motors on them to shake them and get a better image.

I downloaded the sdk and the samples look more like static 3d scanning but i cant even try it since i have the kinect with the 'special' connector but not much time to split out the pins right now.
