Just for fun I looked up this program that I had used in elementary school and it still exists. I'm sure many of you used it or are aware of it. Here are some links. Basically it is like Scratch but driven entirely by text commands.

A link to main offshoots of original program are here http://www.stager.org/logo.html

I have downloaded Elica which is a 3D version of it here http://www.elica.net/site/index.html

I'm interested in any comments on this.. It was the first language I learned and have a weird fondness for. Maybe it could be used for 3D printing?

This is amazing! It was one pf mu favorite and first programs om school as a child and i forgot what it was until now!!! Thanks for sharing.

There was also some game that i think had the name Ernest or that was the characters name but i was never able to find that either. I only seem to remember it might have had something to do with caves.

Ernest? I'll have to look that. I tried logo a little and think it's a good on for warming up to any of these text driven CAD programs.

Anybody try Scratch or the Panther equivalent? I just made a program that allows me to draw pictures, trace photos etc and export to G-code. It's fun and requires little programming knowledge.
