When I blew the SSR on mine I decided I used it enough that I wanted
to go with a commercial one and see how well that worked, so I have a
Sous Vide Supreme Demi as well as most of the parts one needs for the
science experiment version minus the actual controller the SSR was a
part of. I suspect I have a type thermocouple, but I honestly can't
remember.
