Please accept apologies in advance if this is not relevant to you;

we're doing some market research to see if there is demand for a Community Fabrication Space and / or Co-Working Facility in suburban NW Philadelphia.

Our target radius is centred near Willow Grove Airbase;

The nearest available spaces appear to be downtown, which can be more than an hour away and difficult to get to on normal traffic days.
We are trying to discover if there is a community of interest large enough to support a facility which is more local, and if so, what types of features and uses are of interest.

If you live in NW Philly, the survey is here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HY5FX3P
please take a moment to fill it out.

If you do not, but know people or groups who may be interested, please forward this on

Thanks!

I'd probably go for something like this. It's less than 45 minutes
from my house (similar to downtown) and less than 20 minutes from work
(which happens to be Spring House -- interesting that you centered the
map there).

I used Willow Grove as the destination for my calculations, under the
assumption that this would be space on the old air-base.

It's also closer for me, but I kind of like that Hive is an excuse for me to get into the city. I have talked to quite a few people over the last 3 years who live in the Willow Grove/Hatboro area that were very interested in a hackerspace-like arrangement but couldn't justify the driving distance. Actually, Kate Peterson is one such person.

I know there are a lot of aerospace related employees and hobbyists in that area. You might inquire at the museum or the experimental aircraft Assn.

Hive76 will still be my main place to go, but I'd probably check in every once and a while to a place in Willow Grove. I'm in Germantown, so travel distance is probably comparable.
