I have been taking some courses recently at Coursera (www.coursera.org). They are pretty good. Currently taking a.course on Data analysis (using the "R" language), a course on Neural Nets (using Octave) and I have a course coming up on GPU programming.

At any rate, it is scratching my itch to learn new stuff .. and it is tough to beat the price.

Figured others on the list might be interested

Ooooh, cool.

Neural nets have been on my to-do list for far too long. Did a lot of my own study in genetic algorithms and genetic programming back in college, but didn't quite get to NNs. Also, we've been talking about GPGPU programming at Open House for a little while, seems like a natural extension to the 3D rendering stuff that Jordan got started.

Starring this convo for future ref.

Yay -- just completed "Computing for Data Analysis"

Ditched the Neural Nets course -- it was annoying.
