Hey yall, that video they filmed about the USB Typewiter got featured on Gizmodo and the Etsy blog today, and there are some pretty nice videos of the Hive gang in there.  The comments section gets a little rough though... ah well, haters gotta hate.  Lets see if we get a bump from this one!

That's awesome dude! Congratulations! Nicely done.

And yeah, haters gonna hate. It always blows my mind how negative people can be about the coolest things. You had an idea, you put your mind to it, and you made it happen. There is now one more thing in the world that brings a smile to the faces of some percentage of the population. Keep it up!

I face a fair amount of haters (in person and online) over 'some
RepRappers must automatically hate all other 3d printers'. But even
those are reasonably sane compared to some of the rants on that gizmodo
post.

Gratz on the PR Jack, that is pretty awesome coverage.

im confused, why do you think reprappers hate all other 3d printers?

I think we have a misunderstanding. I don't think *reprappers* hate
all other 3d printers. I think *some reprappers (very few actually,
maybe a vocal 5%) hate all other 3d printers. Just as some MakerBot
fans automatically hate other 3d printers.
In any fandom there are a few people that hate everyone who is not in
their sub-sub-sub clique of the scene. I see this in:
- football teams,
- music
- religions,
- Hackerspace membership,
- Linux Distros,
- Anarchists ( see http://riotjoke.com/170)
- (and yes) 3d printers.

Its so weird to compare the gizmodo comments to the etsy comments.  Its like they were written by two different species.
