Basically I'd like to have a static home page with a blog on another
page and a few informational pages. I'm not a coder but want the
ability to add different features to the site that's why I chose
Wordpress as the plugins let you do alot. Looking for a clean theme

Karen,

Are you using a theme with your wordpress site? If so which one and
how is it working out? I just got hosting and downloaded the
wordpress program and got it all up and working but am very new to the
whole thing.

I figured it out....dah. Have to enter homepage meta tags here:
Settings > All-in-One-SEO pack -- right on that page.

WordPress: All in One SEO plugin

I know some of you use WordPress and have recommended the All-in-One-
SEO plugin. I can't for the life of me figure out why this one
client's meta tags won't show up on her homepage. I've added the meta
tags to all the pages in the All in One section but they show for all
the pages except the homepage. The only thing showing on the homepage

Based on that post the Corey had the link to, if you had a client that
had content that was very technical or perhaps terms that only their
field would use, such as medical terms, would it be a good idea to put
either variations of these words or perhaps common misspellings of
them in the meta keywords?

I think the confusion was started because Yahoo announced that they no
longer use the Keyword meta tag. (No big deal. As David said, Google
hasn't for years.)

Meta Keywords tag is ignored for ranking factors by Google.

Title and Description are important. Title is very much a backbone factor
for onsite SEO. Descriptions are important because it's what is usually
used as the info displayed in the SERPs. Lacing the descrption with
keywords helps show relavancy as they show bolded in the SERPs.

Hi All,

A graphic designer friend of mine keeps mentioning that she's hearing
from different sources that meta tags are no longer important, for
example:

"Someone recently told me that metatags aren't even being picked up by
the spiders any more"

Corey, I'd love to know how you got your A clients. I'm guessing you
got them via referrals. But I bet the answer will be in your new
