I also want to subscribe articles etc on various socio-political issues but I am unable to send them in hindi because although I know typing in hindi but dont know how to send email in hindi.Could somebody help me? narendra tomar

Narendra ji,

When you say you can type in Hindi, does that mean you can type in
Unicode Hindi? If so, you can open your email program, type your mail
in Hindi and send it just like you are sending an English email. If
you do not type in Unicode Hindi, please set up your windows to type
in Unicode Hindi by following the instructions here:

Or, if you don't want to change the settings on your computer, or when/
if you are using a computer that is not your own, use one of many
online typewriters and copy-paste text from them. One such typewriter
is http://uninagari.com/.

Also, try to use gmail, as it is more Unicode friendly.

I wonder if the problem is that you are using (or want to use) Yahoo!
Mail for sending mail, but your browser is not configured correctly
for sending it. If so, then, before you start composing your Yahoo!
Mail message,

* with Internet Explorer, make sure View->Encoding->Auto-Select is NOT
selected and instead View->Encoding->Unicode (UTF-8) is selected
(doing the latter should automatically do the former)

* with Firefox, make sure View->Character Encoding->Auto-Detect is set
to Off and make sure View->Character Encoding->Unicode (UTF-8) is
selected (doing the latter should automatically do the former)

If you are using a different browser than IE/Firefox (say, Safari,
Opera, ...), then sorry: I do not have an answer that can help.
