I want to say; " We come from different cultures, but belong to the same race." I have: " ham alag Sam-skriti se aante hai.N, lekin               Samaan jaati aante se hai.N."                                          C) Is there a word for "blend?"  As in two things blending. D) What is the word for "fabrics?" E) I want to say something was "created."  Would I just use "banaayaa?"   Maaf kiijiye,  savaal itnaa zyaadaa ke liye huu.N   Peggy

जाति can also be used for the word 'race' but it can often be confused
with its narrower definition. 'Human race' is known as 'मानव जाति' in
Hindi.

कपड़े? Fabric can be ताना-बाना too, even in metaphorical senses.

किया.

आमतौर पर 'वेष-भूषा' इस्तेमाल किया जाता है, लेकिन यहाँ वेष भाषा का
प्रयोग बहुत उचित महसूस होता है.

I am guessing that Peggy-ji's intent might be to use 'fabric' as in
the English phrase 'fabric of society' or something such. If so,
'ताना-बाना' is an excellent suggestion indeed.

Again, I'm guessing that (and so may well be wrong), but if the intent
was to imply that the 'created' thing is artificial (or man made, as
opposed to being natural), as in "we come from different cultures, but
belong to the same race. Any difference between us has (artificially)
created,' then it may be useful to consider the alternative "बनाया
हुआ" or even "बनावटी".

Peggy, these sentences did not make a clear sense. Are you trying to
say, "I want to translate a poem into Hindi. Is it permitted?"?

I would suggest, as I did before, for you to get a firm grip on the
grammar and sentence construction before attempting to do something as
complex as translating a poem. Wouldn't a poem need a much deeper
knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and structure in any language? If you
need a poem translated, why don't you post it here and someone can
take a stab at it.
