The Hillsdale Neighborhood Emergency Team, or Hillsdale NET, is a group of volunteers trained to work with their neighbors in the event of a citywide emergency. Because professional rescuers cannot be everywhere at the same time, neighbors will be the first to respond to help one another in a major disaster. Our goal is to encourage Hillsdale residents to prepare their households for emergencies, and by doing so make Hillsdale a more disaster-resilient community. All are welcome to attend a meeting or join our email list.

What is NET?

Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) members are citizens trained by the Portland Office of Emergency Management (POEM) and Portland Fire Rescue to provide emergency disaster assistance within their own neighborhoods.
