Dear all,
In the "Manual for VABS Lite" I believe there is a typing error in the
strain-stress relation matrix on the top of the page 10. In line 5,
column 5 of the matrix it should be 1/G_{23} rather than G_{23}.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Regards
José

You are right. It will be corrected in the next release VABS
3.2 which is supposedly to be out before this June. The new release will
include conduction, thermoelastic capabilities, and VABS as DLLs for
developers.

Dear All,
VABS 3.3 is available. The main changes are related with the inputs. Now
each element is related with a layer and each layer is defined as a
unique combination of material type and theta_3. And also user only needs
to provide one number for theta_1. The new input is more concise and
logical. It is an effort for simplifying the preprocessor development. To
be compatible with previous versions. The old format can also be used
with 0 0 inserted before the first line of previous inputs. The new
version is also much faster because new optimization techniques used in
compiling. A realistic case took 80 seconds using VABS 3.2 only takes 60
seconds using VABS 3.3, about 25% improvement in efficiency.
