HURON HIGH SCHOOL
WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2013

1.  The Huron Tiger tennis team defeated Edison 3-2 last night to run their record to 8-8.  Jake Guerrero won easily at 1st singles while Dakota Jones and Deryk Wray played another solid match to win at 1st doubles.  The 2nd doubles team of Dylan Recard and Benji Battiste won two tie breakers to seal the win for the Tigers.  The team travels to Port Clinton tomorrow.

2.  Attention NHS members that signed up to go to Admiral's Point on Thursday for their "senior prom", they would like you to arrive at 6:30 pm.

3.  Students please remember that we are offering physicals for $10 at Firelands Hospital South Campus tonight from 5:30-7 pm.  A physical is required for all students who intend on participating in athletics during the 2013-2014 school year.  This is a great way to get it taken care of for the entire school year.  If you intend on going, stop by the office to pick up a  physical form.  Reminder:  unless all paperwork is signed by a parent/guardian, the physical examination cannot be completed.

4.  Seniors please remember to turn in your graduation "rules & regulation" slip.  These are due today.  If you have that with you please bring it down to the office asap.

5  Any boys interested in trying out for the golf team, there will be a short meeting in the library after school today.

6.  Attention all French Club Members:  There will be an end of the year meeting after school on Friday, May 17th!

7.   Get ready to get ready!  All students wishing to participate in Cross Country next fall:  the sign up meeting for athletes and their parents has been moved to Monday, May 20, at 7pm in the high school cafeteria.

8.  Attention all Art Students!  Tuesday, May 21, is the Fine Art Festival from 6-8pm.  Don't forget it is a requirement to attend the event. So join us for an enchanted evening of art and music!  Art Students should bring their cookies and refreshments any time during the school day.

 

9.  Lunch today is pepperoni pizza or a cheeseburger.
