Hg 1.9 breaking remote Git pushes?

Howdy all,
I updated to Hg 1.9 (Mac OS X 10.6.8) and now get

powell:elbee-elgee stewartd4$ hg outgoing gh
comparing with git+ssh://g...@github.com/zamoose/Elbee-Elgee.git
importing Hg objects into Git
["git-receive-pack '/zamoose/Elbee-Elgee.git'"]
Permission denied (publickey).
abort: the remote end hung up unexpectedly
powell:elbee-elgee stewartd4$


or similar every time I try remote actions against Git repos,
particularly on Github. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Do you have hg-git installed from head? The currently released version
doesn't support 1.9 (head has some bugs that I'd like to fix before
releasing...)

I have the version pulled by easy_install which reports as 0.2.6, I think?

0.2.6 won't work against hg 1.9. Try installing hg-git from bitbucket:
http://bitbucket.org/durin42/hg-git

cloned and a `make tests` in the hg-git directory results in:

Failed test-git-workflow: output changed
Failed test-incoming: output changed
Failed test-outgoing: output changed
Failed test-sane-without-bookmarks: output changed

make: *** [tests] Error 1

There were a few complaints referring specifically to bookmarks. I'm
wondering if the way 1.9 handles them has changed enough to cause the
issues...?
