Avoid Macco!
Avoid the guy on Kerney Lake too (near the Blue Mountain sub. turn off).
I have a stories about the sub par work both these outfits have done.
For supposedly premium jobs on cars with little rust.
$1500+ paint jobs to boot.

I'd love to know a local guy who does quality work.
I don't mind paying good money for good work.

When it comes to painting cars, you get what you pay for. Rust repair
is what's going to cost you. I've had my car painted 3 times, all by
someone that does it in his home garage, some of the best jobs are done
by someone who does it on the side, they will spend more time on it,
where any shop is charging you by the hour and want it done asap so
they can get the next car in there. If your just looking for a basic
paint job, Macco is fine, they're getting better, and $1000 isn't bad,
2 times it cost me $1200 and then a color change was $2200. A couple
shops that do show quality(if you pay for it) are Overall Autobody in
Woodside and Hotshots in Burnside. I've seen cars from both and they
both do great work.

I've used Coachworks in Bayer's Lake twice for body/paint work. They are
probably the most expensive shop but their work is quality. They really
care about doing a good job.

I remember getting a private guy to repaint my Cavalier for $1500, including
minor body re-working. I considered that a STEAL...

Paint jobs cost lots. That's a fact. If it's cheap, it's no good. Might as
well buy some Tremclad and brushes and do it yourself. (: Once you mention
rust repair (bodywork) the price goes up...

Yes, $1000 from Macco isn't bad, assuming they don't leave it to dry out in
the rain, or botch the job with orange peeling, and include large dust
flakes or larger in the paint.

There's no excuse for that. I'll never go back.
IMO they do crap work, they are a fast food body shop.
Don't waste your time with them, run away.
