Cut angles on the boards with a table saw that does dust collection. 2" is too wide to bridge with even 6" tape.

i'm in the sf bay area so i called around and couldn't find anything more than 3".
so i called 3m and got a tech person who said it was a special order item that only gets run when they have a large enough order.

Because you're precision cutting angles, 3" tape is enough.
Thermax HD is what you should be using for a long-life unit like it sounds like this will be and strongly consider foil taping the outside of the tape for longer life in the sun!
