Mission

The Helena Game Club's (HGC) mission is to promote the hobbies of board gaming, role-playing, card games, and any other non-electronic, non-gambling games within the greater Helena area in order to create an friendly, family oriented community comprised of all different economic and social levels. HGC creates positive social environments and educational stimulus for youth and adults through the use of games, combining entertainment with valuable life skills.

Activities

HGC accomplishes it missions and values by:

• Holding regular public gaming events in Helena to promote games and to increase visibility

• Maintaining a list of gamers and their interests so as to be able to match players to games they wish to play

• Support gaming events throughout the state of Montana by running games, volunteering and, most of all, participating.

• Coordinating regular gaming among the club members

• Work with other Gaming clubs around the state on promoting Gaming

• Hold gaming tournaments and support healthy competition

• Educate members and the Helena Community on the positive social and educational impacts of games,

• Support the Helena community organizations that share the values of HGC.
