The end of the month(and our current lease at 140 West Main) is nearing.  Talking to the board we would like to set our next board meeting up for the 23rd of May(same day as HYH).  We're planning to make a choice on re-upping a lease at our current location as so far no proposals have been submitted for alternative locations.  If you have anything else that you feel needs to be proposed, please approach a board member to rally them to put it on the table for this meeting by tomorrow evening to allow for a week of visibility and discussion.  The agenda will be posted after tomorrow night.

Reminder:  This is happening this evening.  Trying to keep it to an hour at most and then we'll jump into HYH.

Shouldn't Chad and Marita only have one collective vote?

My understanding is that they each have one.

It was difficult to hear and follow during the meeting, but I read Paul's minutes later and they indicate that Jeremy said:

"Bylaws allows Champion to choose a temporary replacement.  Wants membership to call a special election by the board. "

However, I think that Tim (in his resignation) correctly summarize the bylaws as:

"According to our bylaws, the board shall elect an interim replacement."

I think that's from Section 2.7 of the Bylaws:

  1. In the event that an officer of the Board of Directors becomes incapacitated, deceased, zombified, becomes a vampire, or resigns from office, a quorum of remaining officers in the Board of Directors shall elect a replacement interim-officer at the Board of Directors meeting following the resignation. An interim-officer's term shall be effective from the day of election by the Board of Directors to the remainder of the outgoing officer's elected term.

I might have misheard and misrecorded Jeremy's statements. Jeremy do you remember what you said?

What I said is that the board of directors can vote an interim board member in but that I would like to see the community vote on somebody, if anyone steps up and is interested, before we vote them in as a board.
