Apologizes for the Bathroom Construction

If you have been at HSL today you will notice that the bathroom has a fresh coat of paint and new a white board wall courtesy of Will Bradley. 

The painting of the bathroom was done very late last night / very early morning hours. Unfortunately this was not planned and the renovation of the bathroom was not able to get completed right away because the paint needed to dry before another coat could go on. I went home since I could not finish up and because I was tired and foolishly got paint on a burn on my finger and needed to clean it out. I left the bathroom with the paint supplies bagged up (a simple trick to not let paint supplies/brush dry up - this was intentional). 

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused some members today. In the future I promise to not consider doing any future spur of the moment painting and/or renovations without consulting/notifying the Google Group.

Soon after the relocation to 140 I thought about using black and silver Sharpies to draw something like this on the bathroom wall.

+1, Goodness knows that we could use a nicer looking back-half of the space.
it always seemed halfway completed to me and I'm glad that Will and Ing have
stepped up to make it awesome.

And it sounds shitty to say this, but you're inviting energy draining
bikeshedding by consulting the list, that's just the human nature of mailing
lists. Do things and let people fix them instead of complain about them.

If they're disruptive changes, send a note to the list, but don't let people
tell you that the work you're doing isn't awesome. There have been plenty of
instances where parts of the space have been unusable because of work being
done on them, and there hasn't been unexcellent behavior from the membership
in those instances.

Bathroom looks great so far; The clean/white makes it look less like a
Tijuana truck stop. My only suggestion for such potentially disruptive
projects is don't leave important stuff (e.g., doorknobs) inoperable
when you leave. Thanks for taking the initiative to make the space
better!

I can't get to the lab until way later today, therefore this is me giving everyone a heads up that I'll finish up bathroom stuff when I get in unless someone else has decided to step in and help out in the meantime.
