Node still isn't in a 1.0 release, and I feel as though it is our responsibility to protect people from it.  An unwitting newbie my accidentally download node.js and DIE.

Please redirect anybody trying to load nodejs.org to this website: http://codeslinger.posterous.com/if-youre-using-nodejs-youre-doing-life-wrong

Alternatively we could just block nothing, since this isn't an 8th grade computer lab.

Counter proposal: never troll, joke, or prank at HSL, because we're serious adults.

Hey guys, I take back this proposal.  What I was hoping for was to catalyze a discussion on how our network works that would hopefully spill over to HYH, but I think I was accidentally just being kindof an asshole.

I guess I also didn't realize that node.js is a bit esoteric.  Hopefully I can undo a tad of assholeishness by showing you something sortof new and really cool!

And while you're at it, also check out Meteor (http://meteor.com/screencast) which is a REALLY awesome web framework that is written on top of node.js.

And for good measure, check out MongoDB, which is a cool way of storing data: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MongoDB)

Sorry for being a prick,
Ryan
