Heya everyone,
So, over the last few months, everyone's noticed Nate's and my rocket in the
front display case.
Well, it's time that they fly.
This weekend is the Superstition Spacemodeling Society's fall two day bonanza
in BFE west Phoenix. Everyone's invited! Nate, Jen, Ing and I are going to be
camping Friday night in to Sunday afternoon so that we can have the full
gritty experience. But you don't have to, you can just drive out there and
head home when you're tired.
The 1998-era SSS website is
http://www.sssrocketry.org/, that includes details
on the GHS launch weekend, and how to get to the launch site (PROTIP:
http://goo.gl/maps/PBH5U is close)
I'll be launching throughout the weekend on my Arcas HV (Estimated to 2500ft),
54mm Nike Smoke (estimated to 5000ft) and my 54mm Sentinel build (Estimated to
5000ft), and Nate plans to launch his Aries (AND GET NAR HIGH POWER LEVEL 1
CERTIFIED!!!) on Sunday.
There will be a TON of interesting rockets and cool folks at this event, as
well as our awesome vendor
http://whatsuphobbies.com on-site with low- medium-
and high-power kits, if you're interested in getting in to high power rocketry
yourself. Nate and I would love to help you make it happen.
Ryan
