A while back I said I was making a set of pylons to act as visual (or
other) markers for anyone who would like to use them for the Floorbot
Challenge. I now have them done.

The pictures are here:

https://picasaweb.google.com/109564575204331808928/Misc#5756186392775291986

There are 4 pylons in each of the two colors.

The height of the plyon is 36 inches. The bases are nominally 11 inches
in diameter and 3 inches high. The pipe is 2 inch ABS which has a
nominal outside diameter of 2.375 inches.

All the paint is by Rustoleum (http://www.rustoleum.com/).
The colors are:
Fluorescent Pink (1959830);
Fluorescent Green (1932830).

Since these colors are relatively transparent, they need to be applied
over a white base coat to show up reasonably. I used Rust-Oleums
Painters Touch Ultra Cover 2x White Primer (249058).

These colors are easy for a computer to pick out of most backgrounds.
Here are the results of a quick trial with my blob tracking software.

And after a quick noise rejection pass.

A hint to the machine vision noobs. While you could use these pictures
to quickly check out your vision system, your camera probably will not
see the colors the same as my camera did. Also, depending on the color
space you're using, ambient lighting can have a dramatic effect. RGB is
notorious for being affected this way.
