Saw this link at Stanford site:

http://cs.stanford.edu/groups/manips/teaching/cs223a/

also I think the lectures are in the Itunes Store.

I went through about a third of that class before I had to go back and brush up on linear algebra but what I did see were well done.  You can download the videos and other course materials directly from Stanford here:

http://see.stanford.edu/see/courseinfo.aspx?coll=86cc8662-f6e4-43c3-a1be-b30d1d179743

Some of the equations in the slides were hard to read so it's helpful to download the course notes.

I'm doing Linear Systems and Optimization - Introduction to Linear Dynamical Systems now and it's very interesting and even entertaining.

Hi Tim,

Did you see any evidence that ROS is covered at all in the course?  Just curious.

Patrick,

I didn't get far enough into it to be sure but I'd say from the descriptions it wouldn't be covered as it appears to be more underlying principles.  Also, the videos are from a class taught in 2007 so predates ROS.  I got to the lectures on the Jacobian and realized that my meager linear algebra that was taught in calculus wasn't going to be enough.  Since I went through college, linear algebra has become king of engineering math.

Thanks Tim,

I didn't realize the class was from 2007 so that makes sense.  Heck, back then I was still using Windows XP, Visual Studio and RoboRealm!  (Ah, the good ole days... ;-))
