Cable and App for GPS on an iPhone?

sorry for the duplicate post.

Anyone seen an application for an iPhone to allow me to do serial read
of my u-Blox 5 GPS? I need a highly portable (and compatible) GPS unit
to record my own waypoints for RoboMagellan.

Doesn't the iPhone have a built-in GPS? At the very least, I know you can read the GPS coordinates from the Compass app, and I'm sure there are better GPS waypoint collection apps out there.

You could also take a look at the redpark iPhone serial cables and potentially use that to connect a u-bloc GPS and write your own GPS logging app.

Yes, the iPhone has GPS and a compass. However, they are nowhere near
the accuracy of the u-Blox. Coordinates of the waypoints are given out,
which means manual entry, and may not track exactly with the GPS I'm
using.

I'll look for the cable, although I don't currently have a way to
develop apps for the iPhone.
