I have Ubuntu Oneiric (armel) on my Pandaboard at the moment, so I'm
currently building soft float. I haven't set the target architecture
explicitly, but it looks like it's targeting ARMv7.
From doing some reading, it looks like hard float gives a pretty
significant performance boost, and Ubuntu Precise and Quantal have
hard-float builds, so that's on my short list. I usually like to do at
least a few basic tests before unleashing code on the world, so
hard-float builds will probably come after I upgrade my pandaboard to a
hard-float version of Ubuntu.
