A free online class from the Georgia Institute of Technology is starting this week. It's called the Control of Mobile Robots. Here is where you can sign up: https://www.coursera.org/course/conrob. The first quiz is due on Sunday, so if you're going to sign up, do so soon!

I'm doing it also. 

I would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to do autonomous robots. I was really missing that prerequisite for my projects.

Signing up for the course also allows getting MatLab at the student price $99 + n*$29 for Toolboxes. Instead fo $2150 + n*$1000.

I got

  - Control System Toolbox http://www.mathworks.com/products/control/  (included in the $99) 

 - Robust Control Toolbox http://www.mathworks.com/products/robust/

 - Computer Vision System Toolbox http://www.mathworks.com/products/computer-vision/index.html
