Wed. night HBRC meeting

All:

I would like to say "thank you" to all of the people who were able
to come to the HBRC meeting last night. I was too busy to perform
an actual count, but the estimate is that more than 200 people
showed up. I was really pleased to see 15-20 children in the
first couple of rows who stayed put till the very end. I want
to thank everybody who brought food for the pot luck dinner.
There was a massive amount of food for everybody.

Please come again next month, on July 25th.

And I would like to thank those who were instrumental in organizing this MOST WONDERFUL event.

A big shout out to Wayne for his excellent leadership, Camp for his constant efforts at igniting the excitement over robotics (and for those wonderful photos), Ryan for hosting the event, Tim for the next generation of challenge, and to all those who made last night possible.

Last night was our family's 11th year anniversary of our first HBRC meeting.  What a wonderful way to celebrate!

Lynxbot, Beer2D2, Cal Averas aka (Skull) and of course Team K.I.S.S robotics had a great time hanging with the Home Brew builders last night. We were able to take a few pictures during the event. We just put them on Flickr. We could use some more for an article we intend to write about this event for SERVO magazine. Of course we will credit anyone's photos in the article. I personally would like to thank The HBRC for allowing us to attend this great event. It is defiantly the biggest club event we have ever been to. We were impressed by the diversity of the machines and enthusiasm of the builders. On the ride home Beer2D2 told me he only wished it could have gone on longer. You Folks Rock!   

Please feel free to tag any photos on Flickr with the names of the robots or builders it would help in the writing of the article. We like accurate data..
