Hi all did we ever work out how to identify slime moulds and find any
websites that might be useful as i came across one at Abernethy on
Friday. An orangy red one on moss. Cheers

Not as far as I know, Martin.  The only slime-mould person I know in the area is Dave Genney (SNH).  If you have a picture you could try posting it on one of the wildlife forums, or to Dave direct.  I will give you his address off-forum if you want it.

I saw a bright red one earlier in the year at Blackmuir Wood, but Dave was on holiday at the time and could not check it microscopically.
