reliablility of pub/sub

A question - a queue is backed by a map which can have backups
But what about a topic? How does hazelcast behave if a node holding
pub/sub data goes down?

Topics aren't backed by maps and they are very transient.
Subscribers, publishers and messages aren't durable.
