Need help to play music file s

Hi everyone,

I have just ported abound jaunty in my hawk board ..
I m trying to play music files in my board . So any body give me a suggestion to. How to start ..

use amp player it only plays mp3 files (layer 2 and layer 3)

It is very light and it easily compiled for hawkboard

Have you tried
cat filename.mp3 > /dev/dsp

No , I have not tried that .. Right now I tried to play . Wav format file using aplay command , it says no command is found ..

aplay is part of alsa utilities. You need to install alsa to get aplay.

Is really easy just make a file system from angstrom with the alsa
utils , then it autogenerate the FS
