Anyone interested in Hawaii politics would have known Desmond Byrne. As head
of the political watchdog organization, Common Cause Hawaii and founder of
Honolulu Information Service, Desmond was a vigorous crusader for the truth.

Those of us who knew him suffer a great loss in his recent passing. For
those who did not know Desmond, I can assure you that without him, the
shenanigans of our politicians and old-boy insiders will come under less
scrutiny.

Memorial services: Sunday, August 15, 10:00 a.m. Diamond Head Memorial Park,
