Welcome to the Harrington's Wakefield Set Dancers. 

We are a group of Irish set dancers from the greater Boston / New England area who get together every Wednesday at 7:30PM upstairs at Harrington's Irish Pub, 17 Water Street, Wakefield, Massachusetts (USA), for 2 hours of social dancing. New dancers are welcome any time.

Sets are called and a new figure is introduced at the beginning of each session. The first set of the night is an easy set that most dancers are familiar with, such as the Kilfenora, Connemara, Caledonia or Corofin, and it is not called. The remaining sets are called in advance to assist dancers with the specific details of the dance.

The names of the sets that will be danced are mailed out weekly prior to the dance to familiarize the dancers with the specific dances for that week.

This is an open group that anyone may join; although some previous exposure to set dancing is helpful, inexperienced dancers are encouraged to give it a try. The atmosphere relaxed and the focus is on fun.
