WHAT DRIVES YOU?

The desire for knowledge and comprehension, so I can competently deal
with the situations that arise in my life.

The desire for communion, cooperation, collaboration with like-minded,
conscientious, awesome people.

The desire for independence of thought, identity, and acton in my life.

The desire to be the best person I can be, for myself and for the
people who are important to me.

The desire to make original contributions of an insightful, useful, and
creative nature. On the individual-to-individual level, or on a
generally accessible level.

The desire to have the character to stand up for difficult, unpopular
but necessary actions when they're called for, to not allow evil to set
root and hurt others. But otherwise, to live and let live.

The desire to experience things that are expressive, empowering, or
shaped by usage over time.

The desire for yummy foods.

The desire to warn people away from terrible foods.

The search for excellence.

The desire to meet as many new cats as possible.

The desire to know myself.

The desire to discover the unique things about people and places, and
figure out how they fit together.

The desire to be understood and accepted, held and appreciated.

Every once in a while, I wake up on a sunny day and am struck by how
much is going on around me... people learning new things, taking on new
challenges, struggling with disappointments, dealing with setbacks,
chasing their dreams, starting families, and so forth, and all of it
going on at ONCE is just incredibly exciting. Just knowing that it's
happening is fantastic, knowing that certain individuals are out there
making a difference. Or just even existing. Makes me thankful. Makes me
want to be a contributor and a participant, and to somehow plug into it
all.

It is also a tremendous distraction. See my thoughts on "FOCUS" in the
other post :-)

You know, I am up late and not sleeping, just thinking about this very
question and I realized I didn't really answer the question. I can't
say any of these things really drive me...they're things that I just
DO, or they are ways that I REACT. I'm not sure that's quite the same
thing.

So now I have to rethink this. Maybe rephrase for myself, "WHY DO I GET
UP IN THE MORNING"? Or maybe "WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS"? But then again,
perhaps it's OK to just exist. Depends on your values.

What drives me?

* Wanting to create things like those other things that I think are
incredible (I know this is a little codespeak)
* Wanting to be stronger (phys), better decision-maker (ment), calmer
(emot)
* Wanting to laugh and have fun

* Wanting to have a lot of balls in the air - even when I am not there,
and am somewhere else relaxing
* Wanting to show people new "wow, this really works!" stuff
* Wanting to tell stories
* Wanting to ask questions
