Hi all
I have put my latest Hanslow family tree in Files. I lost quite a bit
of it and have re-installed all the data, I think. If anyone as time
can they check through it for me please. The piece I lost was from
John and Rebecca back to Peter Ansloe so whole tree does not need
checking. If you find mistakes please let me know.
Thanks
Mervyn

I am new to this group and wanted to post information about William Warner Anslow from Staffordshire as he is mentioned several times in this discussion thread. He married Peninnah Long in Berkeley, Gloucestershire in 1848 and they migrated to Victoria as unassisted passengers arriving on 11 November 1850 on the ship "Waterloo". They had three children born in Melbourne, though one died in an accident in Ballarat in 1859. William Warner Anslow was a stock auctioneer with a particular interest in horses and went into business with various partners. They moved to the Broadsound district near Rockhampton around 1860, later to Clermont, and finally to Rockhampton where William died in 1869. His widow and surviving child William George Anslow then moved to Sydney where Peninnah Anslow had relatives. She died in 1909 and is buried in Waverley Cemetery.
Hi Mervyn
I haven't checked your tree - has anyone done that for you?
I went to the library to look for the death of William Anslow the convict - found that in 1841 he married Mary Pratt aged 33. Couldn't find any children born in Tasmania nor the death of William nor the death of Mary. So assuming they moved interstate.
Found the death of William Anslow in Queensland 1869. Father George Anslow and mother Susanna Warner. Found marriage of George Austow ( assume Anslow) to Susanna Warner at Brewood 1 Nov 1813.
Could not find birth of William.
George William born 1818 Tong Shropshire.
So this William who died in Queensland was the son of George and Susan was not necessarily the convict but probably was!
Anyone have any more information of George and Susanna who married in Brewood 1813.
